Appropriate amount of breaks and programs.

Hi! So I work with this client for about 3 hours every day of the week. We use a visual schedule to guide him so he can know what to expect. When we first started, the BCBA told us to give him constant breaks in between activities so he could remain engaged for the whole session without overworking him.

It's been roughly a year now and we use the same schedule structure, it works perfectly fine, we complete the programs, he learns a lot, we have fun and the client rarely shows signs of tiredness or frustration from constant running of programs, but I see people here talking about X amount of trials per hour and it freaks me out because I think maybe I'm wasting precious session time by giving him too many breaks.

Just wanted to know everyone's take on this
