Thinking ahead about my hormonal acne prone skin

I’ve heard mixed things about how if you have hormonal acne and take accutane, because it’s hormonal and cystic, it’s bound to come back in some way. My derm said that after accutane, I might get put on Spironolactone. Did this happen for anyone else? Did this help keep hormonal acne at bay ? And also- as women did anyones bodies / mood respond well to Spironolactone ? I would hate to go through all of this treatment just to still have to be very careful with trial and error after treatment. I need a break from all of this! Let me know your experiences please or if anything did work really well to keep your skin clear the best you could, and what not to do to keep it from coming back
