Moving to Germany

Good morning to you all. I am moving to Germany this early March. What are the tips(life tips and such) you can give me to make my transfer smoothly? I am planning to take German lessons when I get there. I am doing a little self study here and there, I know some words but I am far away from even being an A1. Please share some life tips, transportation tips (I only rode Japanese buses and I am confused how German buses works), places to visit, and more!
