Commuters, which is your preferred working from home day, and why?
Some employers ask people to choose a fixed day each week to use as their WFH day (given it's one day a week).
At least a handful of my friends prefer Wednesday because it breaks the week into half and Wed can be seen as a "small weekend" breather. And I've also heard managers disliking people who ask to work from home on a Monday or a Friday because of the potential of it being abused into a "extended weekend".
It's a odd assumption to have to choose only from Tue, Wed, Thu only as WFH days when there are five working days a week. Plus that WFH day is also limited by how colleagues coordinate between one another because of resource distribution (like work laptop) and managers not liking having multiple people WFH on the same day of the week. I am aware this might be a small office problem (10-20 ppl) though. It does seem like many prefers Wednesday and I can easily imagine people sometimes having to "fight" over it.
I'm really curious to hear about your experience when choosing a WFH day. Have you ever gotten into a conflict with a colleague over which day you are taking to WFH?
