Will genetic Easter eggers lay brown eggs to start?
We added two Whiting True Greens to the brood this year and they have reached laying maturity over the last couple of weeks, but they're laying brown eggs.
I'm not upset by any means, but I know the kids were excited about having some lay green eggs. (Green eggs and ham, obviously)
Anybody have any experience with True Greens or True Blues? Do the eggs start brown and change over time? (Maybe after first molt?)
