Interview dressing recomendations for men

Just sharing my two cents on everything that I can think of. Please take them as recomendations only because only you know what suits you best personally. At the end of the day it's all about feeling good and being confident.

Hair - As long as it's neatly combed and presentable you should be fine regardless of length. However, if you're not too attached to your hair, just get a haircut and go with the most basic one. You might not like it but it's a life changing opportunity we're getting and we should try and do everything in our power to make sure the interview process goes as smoothly as possible

Nails - Make sure they're cut short. No exceptions here.

Dress - Wearing a two piece suit would be ideal. Wearing a shirt with a tie is also acceptable. Wearing just a shirt with no tie is considered to be more of a casual look than a formal one. You can also consider wearing a three piece suit if it makes you feel more confident. I'm considering it myself as well. But a two piece suit is the safest choice with no ambiguity as to whether it would be too formal or not. No pocket square with the suit. That's only for informal occasions.

Shirt - A white shirt would be the safest option since it goes well with everything. If you don't wanna go with white, you may go with some other light coloured options such as sky blue but make sure it's subtle and matches with the rest of your outfit. I'd say avoid wearing a black shirt in case you're considering it.

Watch - Avoid wearing a funky watch or a digital watch. There are plenty of dress watches available everywhere for an affordable price. If you want to wear one, then wearing a dress watch is the ideal option. Digital watch might still be okay but definitely avoid wearing a watch which is too big or too loud. You're not at a party.

Shoes - Any black shoes which don't have a glossy finish would go with everything. Brown shoes are also acceptable provided the rest of your outfit matches as well. A mavy suit with brown shoes for example. However, wearing brown shoes with a black outfit would be a big no no.

Tie - Keep it simple. Don't go for anything too fancy. A plain black/navy blue tie would work with everything. If you want to for a little bit of design, you can choose a simple pattern like stripes or polka dots. Length of the tie should be right around just touching or covering the belt buckle while standing up. Avoid keeping it below or above that length.

Belt - Again a simple black belt would do the trick. No fancy buckles on the belt. If you're wearing a navy suit, a brown belt also works very well. Just make sure to match the colour of the boots to the belt.

Beard - Clean shaven would be preferable. If you're from the Sikh community, they might be more accommodating as they're well aware of the religious obligations.

Please add stuff in the comments if you feel like I've missed out on anything. And of course please share if you have different opinions as well.
