to all those who are writing English boards in 2 days, here’s how you write your literature answers for a 95+

here’s how I wrote my answers in my 10th boards. Ended up getting a 98. A few tips for the juniors. 1. Start every answer on a new page (especially for the writing section) 2. Underline important points. 3. Memorise key quotes from the chapters and poem. 4. Grammar isn’t that hard, do tons of pyqs, and tbh just choose the option that sounds right. (worked for me at least lmao) 5. If you’re scared you won’t finish the paper on time- try this: once you get the paper, skin through the paper from back to front. Start off by choosing the questions you want to do (optional questions) and go on the read both the paragraphs thoroughly (if not, at least one). I always follow this format- literature, writing and then finally, reading. with this you can easily finish your paper at least 30 minutes before the exam and this have plenty of time to revise. 6. Have a proper introduction, body and conclusion for every answer you write. Add in connecting words like- to begin with, firstly, lastly, in conclusion. 7. 1st boards, 1st exam, try to stay calm. English papers are damn easy. just don’t freak out before the exam. 8. Have your writing formats set in your mind. Makes it quicker to finish off the writing section since you can basically just fill up the answer according to the question and only have to change minor details. 9. Stick to the fucking word limit y’all. Don’t think the more you write the more impressed the examiner will be. S/he is probably going to get pissed. So just stick to the word limit please.

all the best :)
