A thought about salvation
This may be controversial, but i've been thinking about salvation and i got an a idea that its kinda weird but it could make sense: Even though prayer is often offered with the purpose of helping souls leave purgatory, I am convinced that it can also save souls that seem to be condemned. My theory is based on the following: If souls are judged in a realm beyond human time by God, who exists outside of human time and can interact with any moment within it (that is supported by Aristotle and St Thomas Aquinas philosophy and even by the Gospel: "Before Abraham was, I am) it makes sense to me that one could pray for the salvation of someone who has already passed away (and not just to help them leave purgatory). This is because God receives these prayers outside our linear time, meaning they are neither "late" nor "too late." God can act upon all of human linear time, including what we perceive as the past and the future, and therefore could alter the circumstances that lead a soul to condemnation.
I would be delighted of reading your thoughts about this. May God bless you all guys.
