Irony of the end of Makima

Makima set her life to control people, and often this is done by making her subjects love her obsessively. She did this to Denji to an extreme. She taught him the exact opposite of what a healthy love looks like. She turned him into a dog, that even after all the horrible things she’s done, Denji still loves her. She succeeded. But this success is also where she failed.

She gave Denji the worse possible meaning of “love”, and in the end, Denji gave this “love”back, ultimately led to her end.

With this toxic love that Denji has for Makima, he was able to in the bypass her contract which kept her from harms, and ate her up, bit by bit, with “love”.

She truly was control, even to the end.
