Regarding the final Suzaku vs Kallen fight
Does anyone feel kinda disappointed at the ideological debate between the 2?
Kallen’s talking about why it was important to fight for the resistance as she did the whole show, which is very in character for her, though it does fall a little flat considering what her battlefield commander was planning to do but she had no way of knowing that. Then again the fact that the Black Knights were aiding someone that’s actually far, far worse than Lelouch even pretended to be is something that goes surprisingly unremarked on by the show and even most fans tbh. They never seem to find that part out, only the part where Lelouch arranged his death for world peace.
But Suzaku continues to prattle about “working within the system” even though his ascension to Knight of Zero was totally illegitimate and doesn’t even come close to lawful. I thought Suzaku decided he didn’t care about the means and only sought the ends anyway. Did he unironically mean any of what he said?
