Where eat btn San Jose & Jaco?

Hey, Flying into San Jose in April, picking up a rental and heading to Manuel Antonio.We usually stop at WM for food and drinks. That usually causes us to get in MA after dark. This year want to eat on the way to save a little time. Can anyone recommend something between SJ and Jaco? They were working hard in the area crossing the Tarcoles last we made the drive. A small soda or local owned restaurant for a late lunch would be great. Thanks in advance for any help.
