Half double crochet Foundation Chain - did I do this right?

Before I start making my actual project I just wanted to get some feedback on if I did my foundation chain correctly since it's my first time doing one. It's a HDC foundation chain, then 2 more rows of HDC BLO. Sorry the crazy yarn makes it harder to see, it's my test yarn!
