Is NIW helpful in my case ?

I have plans of moving back to India in 1-2 years. But would like to come back some day when my green card date becomes current. Would it be helpful to have NIW Approved so that I don’t have to apply for i140 again from India when the priority date becomes current current ?

Edit: I know im being very optimistic about priority date becoming current. Who knows how the rules change in the future. Just no harm to be prepared for the best case.
