The Bible in school?

Not sure if this is the appropriate sub for this, but this has been on my mind.

I went to a public school in a rural area where many teachers were openly Christian, didn't necessarily proselytize, so nobody cared much. I do think P2025 is going to embolden some of the more unhinged types to bring their unhinged ideas into the classroom.

THAT BEING SAID, I think as the world becomes more secular, the Bible will ironically become more of a topic in public school as the basis of some US history and much of the western canon. Kids aren't going to see The Scarlet Letter as the more extreme form of their own belief system, recognize the characters in Paradise Lost, or understand phrases like "separate chaff from wheat."

Idk just maybe don't become what you hate by flying off the handle and calling the principal if your kid says "we talked about Christianity in school today" if you don't know the context.
