Can someone explain the Luca Digne meme?

Quite new to fpl, but whenever someone like RAN or Joao Pedro fools us into buying them people mention digne. He looks to be quite a decent option actually, alongside Tyrone Mings for the next few. Can someone please fill me in with the Digne lore? Thanks
