Takes too long to reconnect to GPS

Epix Pro owner here. During my cycling activities I often pass through tunnels and lose GPS connection there. That's understandable and I don't expect watches to work underground. But for some reason it takes ridiculously long to reconnect. I can ride up to 3-6 km before it start tracking again.

I tried to create new activity after passing a tunnel once and GPS was found instantly. So the problem is solely in reconnection. Is there a way to do it manually without creating new activity ?
