Cuddy is my favourite but...

I'm only on s3 so no spoilers. As the title says I love cuddy. She's strong confident, female character. I tend to like characters like that, but I'm genuinly curious how she became the Dean of medicine. She's honestly such a doormat to house and other characters. She can't control him and it really pisses me off. Especially when she perjured herself to protect HIM and after one episode of her saying "I own you" it just went back to normal. Like huh?? If we rewind to s1 with the vogler arc she just allowed him to basically fire anyone that disagreed with him because of his pettiness with house. Granted he did give the hospital 100m, she still should've stood her ground. It just dissapoints me that we don't have more "badass" moments with her taking control and actually being the "boss" so to speak. I think a few episodes back she was adamant on saving this pregnant woman's baby, coming up with house level solutions which I did enjoy. However at the end of the episode, house was saying that there was a 99.9% chance they both could've died. LIKE HE DOESNT RISK A PATIENTS LIFE ALL THE DAMN TIME WITH HIS EXPERIMENTS!! I wanted so badly for her to quip back with a remark but she just took it. It's honestly a shame because I think she had the potential, kind of similar to Charlotte from private practice if anyone's seen that. Anyways that's my rant.
