Hunt dollars

My friend and I play duos all the time and no matter what happens I always come out with more money and we can't figure out why!! Whether we loot hunters or find cash registers/money pouches randomly throughout the map it doesn't seem to matter, it always seems to give me more money, does anyone know how it works? It's been like this for weeks!!
