A solid guide for beginners? Unable to find barely any information online!
Hey all,
I recently discovered Kanna and was intrigued and decided I wanted to try it.
However, in my research I was left with many questions unanswered, uncertainties and unknowns.
I was wondering if anybody can either answer / address these questions or point me toward a guide that can?
- Recommended retailers and what kind to get?
I could barely find anywhere that sold Kanna. When I did, the prices seemed absurd! I also had no clue what the differences were between different types, fermented vs. non-fermented, etc.
- How do you take it? And what dosage?
I couldn’t believe how impossible it was to find suggested dosing information. I opened the bag and found what looked like little pieces of dried grains that smelled slightly sour.
I tasted one and it admittedly was pleasant, with an earthy and sour flavor.
I didn’t really know what to do, so I put a big pinch (about the size of a US Nickel coin) into a gelatin sheet, wet with water and swallowed whole.
- How’s it supposed to feel?
About an hour in, I began to feel anxious, paranoid and that something was wrong.
Everything was fine. But it FELT like something bad was going to happen. And I said to myself a few times “I wish this was over”.
All that being said, I’m pretty certain I did everything wrong, got the wrong stuff, had the wrong amount, had it the wrong way and overall I think my lack of education (though not for lack of trying!) ruined my first experience.
But I’m game to try again with proper guidance?
