Help a tourist from Odisha to visit north Kerala

I'll be reaching kannur on this friday to experience and photograph theyyam and also planning to visit kasargod or kozhikode. 1. Can you all suggest me some must visit places there? And few must try cuisines and spots to have that? Like sadhya or thalassery biryani fish curry 2. Any other cultural thing for me to capture there other than theyyam? Like Alami kali or kathakali or kalaripayattu? If yes where and time please.

And in general give me some tips or hacks to easily navigate there and communicate and things to be careful of. Thank you
