2024 EV6 Electrify America free charging

Picked up a 2024 Wind AWD over the past weekend for my wife. I have an Ioniq6 and it came with 2 years free charging at Electrify America. I asked about any similiar benefits for Kia and was told there were no plans for the EV6. This morning I was setting up the car on my wife's phone and ended up on a screen talking about free charging at EA. Signed her up and it's 1,000 KWh. I later found it on the Kia website. Is this common knowledge? I have a feeling the salesman lied in order to sell us a level 2 charger.
