When do I tell headhunter I was laid off?
I was laid off from my job last week, though technically my last day is tomorrow. Surprisingly, a recruiter reached out to me yesterday and wants to talk about a role in my industry.
My LinkedIn shows I’m still with my current employer, as does my resume. My question: when, if ever, should I mention that I’ve been laid off to the recruiter / company she’s recruiting on behalf of?
I know it’s easier to get a job when you already have one, so want to be mindful to play my cards right.
