recollecting after childhood house fire

Warning: May be a bit of a longer post

hi yall! i wanted to post my story on here and share some happiness and pride that i currently hold for my newly started recollection of lps! when i was 12 years old, i had hit a huge collection goal of 115 lps!! i was so excited, i had so many g2-3 lps and accessories, houses, customs, you name it. i just finally gotten old enough where my mom let me pick out my entire Christmas list and i racked up on almost 10 different lps sets (including my dreamie, a deer!!). unfortunately a week later on the night of december 31st, 2013 a drunk man had thrown a molotov cocktail into the old abandoned house next door to mine and my entire corner block bursted into flames. luckily, there was no one home but along with my freshly unwrapped christmas presents, clothes, electronics, and personal items everything was burnt to a crisp. all of my lps collection and other toys were gone and at 12 years old i was forced to grow up far too early.

fast forward to a few months ago in 2024, nearly 10 years later, i stumbled across one lps in a random toy bag at a thrift store. this caused a nostalgic spiral of healing my innerchild with my adult money and swearing to begin my collection once again. i may not remember all the pets i had back then, but i want to create new experiences and play with some new faces from here on out. cheers to healing that 12 year old who never got to play with lps again after one fateful night.

wish me luck!

tdlr; had a 100+ lps collection at 12yrs old; all of them melted in a house fire; 10yrs later im healing my inner child n collecting again!
