I dont know if it is a debate opinion or not but i love alger as a character more than audrey, i not saying she is bad btw, i just think i like alger more,

Bro is a professional overthinker and glazes the fool and gehrman like there's no tomorrow but honestly in all fairness we would do the same

Alger is the only character in the tarrot club that is a self made hustler, all the others got cheats and and demigod+ teachers before joining the tarrot club, but alger due to his over meticulous nature and overthinking has made achieved way more imo

One example of this is that first he was trying to prove to the tarrot club his worth by being the in control of the sea part of the world, but when miss hermit/cattleya came, he found out that she was leagues better than him when it came to resources and channels, therefore, he adapted and improvised, he used his analytical provess to basically become a professional consultant for anything major

Also his character development is more subtle which i like
