Here's a reminder of why, as hard as things may be for our city today, I'm not even worried about us. Thirty-one years ago today, we got hit by a doozy of an earthquake that threw us all out of bed. When we saw what our city looked like after the sun came up, it was devastation. We didn't think it could ever be the same again. But what we learn over time is, because we deal with earthquakes, fires, mudslides, landslides, floods, blizzards, tsunamis, droughts, and even hurricanes, California is better than anywhere else in the nation at rebuilding itself. It's no wonder we get the hate that we do. They can't be what we are. We gone be alright. ✊🏿
