What makes you play your main weapon?

Hi I'm in between a vet, and your average hunter. Been playing MH since mh4u. I'm a GS main (💪🤌) and I love it, but I wanna hear why people stick to their mains. I've dabbled with DB, CB, Hammer, and SnS, but GS will always hold a place in my heart. Figured I'd ask the community on their opinions and maybe simultaneously help any newcomers find their weapon.
