Trueborn Difficulty isn’t Hard Enough Still

Now that I’ve beaten the full game of MW5: Clans single-player-only post-patch, I can say that despite having struggled through some quite difficult missions, the game is too easy especially with coop in mind.

Yes, I may have spent a lot of time struggling through those missions, but most missions were easy/okay once I had laservomit builds set up until late game.

Then, certain missions required me to learn how to fully squeeze out the effectiveness of your AI squadmates, so I became better at the game and beat those very difficult missions. For those unaware: friendly AI hate being heat positive so they never actually fire at full DPS. To remedy this, just switch to an ally mech (Y button on PC) when you’re close to overheating or overheating.

But after I beat those missions, I couldn’t help but feel that if I had a group of friends playing with me, those difficult missions would actually be quite easy!

I really enjoy being pushed to find the right builds to beat a mission and being forced to approach fights the right way. This does bring out the core theorycrafting of the Mechwarrior franchise out in a great way, regardless of the fact that the mechlab is simplified compared to MWO (it's actually quite similar to high difficulty Payday 2 in this way).

Therefore, I humbly request that the game be harder yet still so that I can play the game with my friends.

Also, as another request, please buff LB2Xs, LB20Xs, SRMs, SSRMs, and PPCs.

UACs also jam too much to be worth taking over laservomit (it really does feel awesome to fire 4x in a row with a UAC20 right? Well guess what, you still did less/same amount of damage as an ERSL-boat and now you’re jammed/extremely hot/running out of ammo).

Super long range projectile weapons tend to not be worth it because engagements tend to quickly reach ~500-600m range, where MPL does well enough even though it’s out of effective range.

LB20Xs just don't do that much for their weight when compared to ERSLs. It's already hard enough to find a mech capable of wielding one.

Oh! and for that matter, the Summoner sucks big donkey butt. Maybe the JJs are useful for poptarting, but pure stats-wise it's pretty awful.
