Holding Items

What is everyone’s thoughts about being asked to hold an item? Someone just asked me to hold something because they “don’t get paid until Thursday”. This is the first time I’ve ran into this - Curious about what others do.

Update: Thursday came and went and they never bought the item they wanted me to hold.. Imagine that! 🙄
