Is it illegal to cut off your child’s beverages at 7pm?

My son (8) is a bedwetter and despite wearing goodnights at bedtime he still pees through them and soaks his sheets and bed. I’ve decided the best way to avoid this is to cutoff my sons beverages at 7pm but my husband insists this is “illegal” and “child abuse” 🙄 I know plenty of parents (including his sister whom I got the idea from) who do this so my question is it in fact illegal to cut off your child’s access to beverages at night?
