Road trip in Nova Scotia help

Hello 👋, so I am a crazy traveler who likes to see unique things and old History. This summer me and 3 others are going to be driving from Ontario we have plenty of time. Time is not a issue several weeks. So far I am planning to stay over night at Louisburg old historic village. And see halifax. I feel like Peggy's cove is a tourist trap likely and I'm not to interested in overly touristy things. Ideally and cool experiences would be ideal old pioneer villages or something would be cool. I heard Titanic grave sites are in NS that's something I'd be interested in seeing.

As you can tell I am not a typical tourist I am more into history and trying and experiencing new things and going off the beaten path.

Any suggestions? Also NB places work to
