Missing the adrenaline

Hi, wonder if my fellow nurses could give their words of wisdom…

Until December ‘23, I had a VERY busy job. I would rack up to 60 hours a week and it was non-stop from the time I walked in the door until I went to bed at night. It was highly demanding, horribly stressful and it had to end or I think it would have ended me.

I sensibly changed my job to one that is much less stressful and 30 hours per week exactly. It’s predictable, lonely and maybe a little dull.

They are really lovely people to work with, and I have nothing against them at all, but I’m struggling to be motivated in such a low key environment and really missing the adrenaline.

Any hints or tips to survive? I feel like I’m going mad and already looking for new jobs.
