Need honest opinions

So I think it's probably a waste of time but I was directed towards this sub-reddit. I am diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I have a history of self-harm and alcohol abuse (I've been in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow 21 times in the last 12 months). I have also spent 2 prison sentences. One sentence was carrying an offensive weapon and the second sentence was setting my house on fire when I came off my anti-psychotics and drank a lot. I've still got a lot of work to do by staying sober and keeping on top of my mental health and I've had it in my head that I'd like to give something back by doing nursing in the future. Do I have any chance?
