One Piece is Taken Too Seriously

I'm a newer fan of the series, and have noticed a lot of criticism from the community. I've noticed that the community by in large are adults who forget that OP is a cartoon written for adolescent children. It's been an ever present fixture in people's lives for the past two decades, so I think the fan base has out grown the tone of the story. Our expectations are too high for things to make sense or to be "realistic".
