Can't figure out how to send precise amount of anything using conveyour meter + signal counter

I feel like it is possible, but i can't figure out how exactly. My goal is this:
1) I choose how much i want to send via supply teleporter unit. Say, 5 tons. I set the meter to 500 kg and the counter to 10.
2) I reset the meter (if it was used previously). Counting begins, counter reaches 10 (0) and no more green signal gets send to reset meter port.
I always miss something and after reaching 10 it either loops with not gate or sends continuous green to meter, disabling the counter. Which it should do, but i can't figure out how to make it stop completely until I manually reset it.
