Do I Open?

Parents snatched this up this at the local charity shop, still with the original PSP packaging, am wondering, do I open it (it was bought with the intention of using) or buy a pre opened one for use and sit on the sealed? Paid £8 in total, online sealed they average at about £10, so really am stuck with what to do with it.
