Los Ratones i wrote it with love
Just a piece of advice: It’s certain that bad days will come, whether it’s during scrims or official games. One thing is sure: if the team gets to know each other better, they will grind even harder through those tough times.
For example, today was a long day. As Rats, we love Rekkles—not just now because he’s carrying us with his SUPPDIFF, but even before, when we used to watch him on livestreams with T1 Academy. I strongly believe that Rekkles is hard on himself, maybe because he wants to be great, and that’s admirable.
However, I want players like Rekkles to feel comfortable sharing their thoughts. For instance, during the Nidalee-Leona game, I got the sense that Rekkles wanted to give Veljia some calls but held back, possibly because he was afraid his words might sound toxic. (Yes, okay, some misplays happened—no one is perfect!)
Lamont, as the coach, I think it’s important to encourage the team to focus their vision and mindset on the game. Whenever a teammate makes a call or disagrees with one, they should feel free to express it without fear of being perceived as toxic. I’m not saying that anyone is currently taking it that way, but they might hesitate to speak up because they’re worried it could be interpreted as such.
Stay strong, team! We all love you and admire your journey. Remember, we’re here to support you as you go far.
P.S. Without rain, the rainbow will never appear.
