RFID feeder can’t stop my kitten.

I purchased the RFID feeder for my cat as we have a 6 month old kitten who will devour any and all food insight. I thought it would be great to get this feeder as it would allow my older cat to continue to free graze on kibble without me having to be present every time he wanted to snack. It was a waste of my money.

I am incredibly disappointed in this product. If you have a food fiend for a cat do not waste your time, energy and above all your money on this glorified feeder.

Here’s what I would improve for the next model they bring out.

  1. Above all else, At least make the this lid latch when closed. This 100% would solve all the problems about this feeder.

  2. The lid should sit flush within the plastic and no so there is an exposed edge where grubby kitten mits can push back against.

  3. The sides need to clip in better. It doesn’t take much for them to be pulled out and defeats the purpose.

  4. The rubber hinge on the lid needs to change. This is the other way my kitten has been able yo use the device itself to get in. He claws up the rubber part which easily lifts the lid enough for him to push his head in.

The whole point is to have a feeder specifically for one cat to have access to. If my kitten can get into it then other cats can. Waste of a money and a poor product design. PETLIBRO do better.

UPDATE: New lid didn’t matter. My kitten figure out to open the top lid that houses the kibble for dispensing. This product is a waste of money, time and my sanity. Save yourself the trouble and just manually monitor your cat’s consumption. There is no winning when you’re cats eyes are larger than its stomach.
