I just finished Unwound Future.
...I AM CRYING OMGMGJGJGJG
I got my hands on Curious Village around 2 months ago and fell in love with the series. When I went into Diabolical Box only to end up having even more fun with it that with CV, I was very excited going into Unwound Future! However, one thing I had heard was that the ending of UW is sad.
...I was NOT ready. I don't think you can be ready. I'm gonna try to avoid going into too much detail so that I don't reactivate the memories of the ending, both for myself and anyone who has finished the game.
The ending- and the whole game for that matter- was beautifully written, produced and presented throughout the entire runtime. When Hershel yelled for Claire to wait I had to grab tissues, and when I saw his eyes full of tears, I began bawling. Then, during the amazing credits sequence, I calmed down a little. I can't remember a time where a video game had made me feel more sadness.
...THEN THE CUTSCENE WITH LUKE HAPPENED AND I HAVE ONLY JUST NOW STOPPED CRYING.
Anyway, I just wanted to talk/vent kinda about how I felt about Unwound Future and its ending. Tl:dr, one of my favorite games of all time with a fantastic, emotion-calling ending, and I am incredibly excited for Last Spectre.
