trouble progressing. suggestions on what to focus on?

i never know exactly what to focus on, i just know that it seems like i haven’t gotten anywhere in the past month or so.

stuck on Dragon 13, Spider 9. can’t compete in anything higher than Silver 3-4 arena.

in order to progress a bit, & until i pull some more decent champs, would you recommend i focus on:

• getting masteries for the ones i have
• ascending the ones i have
• leveling any of these above (i’ve been holding off on leveling any because i don’t know who is actually worth taking to 6*)
• just grinding spider/dragon etc
