Platen adhesives question

Hello! I'm a complete novice to screenprinting and am currently making t-shirts for my band.

I recently aquired a flash dryer for $20, so I want to incorporate it so I can get better prints. I'm strictly doing white ink on black shirts so I want to print, flash, print again.

First few trial runs, look far better than a single pass. My only issue is the platen. I used double sided tape on it which works well, but it is very hard to not leave any gaps between strips that show up in the print.

I know I can buy platen spray tack online, but does anyone know of anything that can be bought at a common hardware store or the like? I went to my plastic and paints supply store and they had lots of glue to choose from, but without much info online, I don't know what to look for.
