Shadow Beast strategy

Hey there folks! I’m not sure if anyone else is struggling with this like I did, but I figured I would share this because for me, the Shadow Beast was incredibly difficult and made me stop playing for a while cause I felt so frustrated like I couldn’t progress in the game. So just in case anyone else is struggling like me, here’s how I beat the Shadow Beast. (keep in mind, even with this strategy, it still took me three tries with this team before I beat it):

The slugs I used were a Makobreaker, Blastipede, White Boon Doc and Thugglet. All were megamorphed and near level 20 (Mako was level 16 but the other three were pretty close to 20), no fusions.

When you’re fighting the Shadow Beast, it throws those massive black shots at you. Those will stop your slugs 100% of the time, even a megamorphed Ramstone. However, they only do about 280-300 damage. When you see these coming your way, let them hit before firing any slugs. It will also put up these white barriers that are like force fields, but I believe these can be destroyed with a slug that has two bars of charge (correct me if I’m wrong please). Just fire a slug to get rid of these, preferably not your Boon Doc or Thugglet as those are the most important slugs.

In regards to your slugs, you want to prioritize them in a certain order. The order is as follows : Makobreaker -> Blastipede -> Thugglet -> Boon Doc. I would usually try to get all my slugs charged to at least two bars before I fired them all, in this order. The order is important because the Mako can destroy a lot of the shots the Beast will send, the Blastipede will lay a bomb to do damage to the Beast even if none of your slugs land, the Thugglet will charge your slugs super fast, and obviously you want to protect the healer the most because you have way less health than the Shadow Beast. As long as you send that conga line pretty quickly after the shadow beast hits you with one of the large black shots, you should manage success after a few attempts!
