Question related to survivor benefits before spouse FRA

Ok, so let's say a man/woman were married 41 years. Husband gets SSDI at 61-62 due to going blind. Wife FRA isn't until 9/2026.

His SSDI converted to regular SS at his FRA. Wife never claimed spousal benefits, only Medicare at 65. Wife doesn't have 40 work credits of her own since she was homemaker during much of the marriage.

I know that she gets 100% of his SS if he dies after HER FRA, as survivor benefits.

But what if he dies before 9/2026?
