Do you want lore on Yoda's species? Why/why not?

Idk if this post has been made recently, but I was just wondering what y'all think. I'm a sucker for new lore, but Yoda's species has been like one of the hallmark mysteries of SW since his appearance. While I do think it's a good plot element to keep some things a mystery(especially given that I don't trust Disney to make it work), I can't help but feel it would be cool to get some answers on such a unique and sparse species. Like, why are we 3 for 3 on them having a connection to the force? What happened to them all? What was their culture like? I guess at the end of the day, when something has no canon explanation, what difference does it make if you just come up with your own lore?
