In your last therapy session, what would you have liked your therapist to say to you?
I'm a trainee and see clients as a volunteer. I have one client ending their therapy next week. They feel they've grown and learnt enough skills to be able to move on without therapy for the time being. I'd like to say something meaningful to them without being too corny. I won't 'miss' them as such but I know I'll see things that will remind me of them. What things has your therapist said in final sessions that you remember? We'll be taking a quick trip back through their journey with a summary and an acknowledgement of the work they've done. Thanks.
