This Love Doesn't Have Long Beans thoughts

I just finished watching this drama. 7/10 Nothing genre-defining, but a pleasant way to waste some time. The food was hot. The actors went all in. The plot was slightly dumb, but it worked.

My favorite part: The were INTO it! To hell with reluctant bottom trope, Plawan was a starving man and the only thing that could save him was Chef's big hard long bean. He wanted to be stuffed like a wonton. Pounded harder than the pans in the kitchen. Do you know what temperature is needed to make a perfect stir-fry, because I'm sure those two reached it without even turning on the stove 🥵🥵🥵

On a different note, professional chefs eating instant noodles will never not be funny. "Yes, I love cooking, but do you know what I love more? Sponsorship money."

Then: THE PROPOSAL! IT'S LEGAL NOW! EVERYONE'S GETTING MARRIED!

(Tbf I think it's too early for Oab and Plawan, given everything that happened, but I get that they wanted to celebrate the passing of the bill, so I'm not mad.)

And I loved the proposal scene. You know, Cutie Pie was sweet, but Lian annoyed the living hell out of me when Kuea tried to propose, but Lian sabotaged his efforts, because "we can be partners, but I'M sTiLl tHe mAn". Just stfu and accept the bloody ring, you absolute knobhead 🙄 TLDHLB didn't have that problem, Plawan wasn't gonna wait for the Chef to leave his beloved restaurant to find a ring, so he got one himself and Oab accepted it like a champ. That's what being PARTNERS mean. Watch and learn, Lian.

One thing I think was missing was a resolution for Kluer. One scene where he comes to the restaurant with his new bf. My feelings for him progressed as such: what a cutie -> okay, he's adorable -> oww, a heartbreak -> that bitch! -> heartbreak -> THAT BITCH -> heartbreak -> heartbreak -> heartbreak

They never said it, but I'm pretty sure he also made a deal with Metas when he found out Plawan and Oab were dating. That would explain why Metas came into the restaurant confident like that: he had both contestants in his pocket.

I didn't care that much for the second couple, which I think makes me the minority.

I watched the last ep at work, so excuse me, I gotta go back now and watch some scenes I had to skip. Good show 👍
