Quick question: what language are the characters in EIS speaking?

Obviously, this could be a case where they’re speaking Japanese, but the entire linguistic history of this other world language is totally different than the actual history of Japanese language. But I’m curious, what language do you think these guys would speak realistically like we have nations and names named after European one so maybe they would speak Norse maybe a little bit of old French
