Would Tim have actually seen any real consequences for that car crash?

For one Tim is a super cop, he rushes head first into deadly shootout situations and does high profile busts.

Two a training officer and trains nothing but top quality recruits.

He also experienced and respected, the union would no doubt try to protect him.

Other people do more egregious things than that and get off practically a slap on the wrist like that racist cop who let his rookie get beat almost to death.

Smitty while not doing anything illegal per se, is the king of avoiding work and being incompetent at times.

Also what Tim did isn't on the first to fire or punish list.

After the racist guy almost got off, the notion of the tension for Tim kind of loses its weight.

Do I think Tim or other cops should get off Scott free for screwing up, no of course not and don't take it as an endorsement that they should.
