Obtain access logs for file server

I’m looking to get the log location of how to achieve the ability to audit users accessing a share and if they fail to modify or delete objects within.

I’m looking for this due to having a file server which has been moved to a new domain. The permissions are there and the trust between both domains are there and two ways. when looking at effective access it states correct permission but user can’t do anything within the folder.

Any assistance would be great.
