dating after a longterm relationship is rough 🥲

started seeing this one girl before the holidays—fairly casually, i wasn’t really expecting it to develop into something serious but i enjoyed spending time with her—but she called it quits the other day and said it wasn’t the best timing for her to date atm. i have some reservations about whether that’s true or if it was a soft way of saying she lost interest, but regardless she’s not feeling it so it is what it is!

it’s justttttt i went through a pretty rough breakup earlier this summer with an ex that was generally not the most affectionate or physical person (for valid reasons, it was not why we broke up) and beyond being very heartbroken i’ve also felt very touch-starved for a long time. so part of me was, maybe a bit selfishly, just really looking forward to having a fun, easy-going connection where i get to kiss a cute girl and feel desired 😭 so i’m bummed! it sucks!!!
