What emotions are felt when you/trans people you know are misgendered?
I ask this question because I was just wondering to myself the title of this post, and realizing, as I am but a humble well-meaning cis white man, I have no perspective to even be able to understand what you folk go through when you are put in the positions I can imagine many of you face. I want to gain some additional understanding of your struggle and hopefully be able to spread that empathy to the crazies that I have to - unfortunately - occasionally bump elbows with who also don't have that perspective.
I'm not interested in digging up emotions around intentional misgendering, but if anyone is willing to share their perspective on this subject, I'm willing to listen.
Please approach this question with charitability. Judgement free zone and all. I'm not some freak trying to schadenfreude y'all, but if this post is deemed inappropriate, nuke at your discretion, mods.
P.S: I've realized after typing this post out that I just need trans friends to talk to irl. 😂 Helps to have friends in the first place lmao
Thank you in advance for your time!
